Sharon L. Ippolito is the Graduate Programs Coordinator for the Excellence in Policing and Public Safety Program. Most recently, Sharon served as a Business Assistant at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, supporting more than 160 study abroad programs in more than sixty countries working with the Rutgers Global-Study Abroad Office at the main campus in New Brunswick, NJ. In addition to higher education, Sharon has also worked in customer service, benefits administration, mortgages, and banking, which reveal her resourcefulness, organization, and adaptivity.
Sharon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Delaware, where she majored in criminal justice, and minored in history. She also earned twelve credits in public policy & administration from Rutgers University, Camden, NJ. In 2012, Sharon received a certification in medical billing & coding from Mercer County Community College. Sharon was an Intern at the U.S. Supreme Court, Washington, D.C. during college where she developed her respect and appreciation for the law. She continued this as a Paralegal immediately following college where she worked for two personal injury law firms in New Jersey. Sharon also served in the county government where she held administrative roles in Clerk’s Office, Superior Court Law Division, as well as the County Health Department where Sharon supported the county health officer and nine health clinics.
