Join EPPS on March 31 at 12:30 pm to learn about the Global Policing Database!
EPPS_WebinarThe GPD is a comprehensive and easy-to-use repository of high-quality research on policing. The database includes over 7,000 studies dating back to 1950 and is updated to include the most current research on any topic related to police work. The goal of the GPD is to facilitate quick access to the most rigorous scientific research conducted on policing, for practitioners and academics using a simple web-based platform.
EPPS will be hosting a webinar on Tuesday, March 31 from 12:30-1:30 featuring Dr. Cory Schnell to discuss the database in more detail and how it can be used in support of building out your existing evidence-base. We hope that you'll join this event to learn more about the GPD and how it can be used in support of the research goals of your department/agency. Register for the webinar here: Microsoft Virtual Events Powered by Teams. This event will be recorded and shared with all registered participants upon conclusion.
🎓 Graduation Day! 🎉
The Excellence in Policing and Public Safety Program (EPPS) is proud to celebrate the graduation of the Executive Credential in Police Leadership – Cohort III, featuring 17 police executives from across South Carolina 👮♂️👮♀️
This milestone marks the completion of 8 months of rigorous learning, collaboration, and creative thinking, all grounded in the Preamble to the U.S. Constitution. By anchoring leadership development in the call to “establish justice” and “secure the blessings of liberty,” this cohort explored how shared purpose and constitutional values shape modern public safety leadership.
Working alongside such dedicated leaders was a powerful reminder that principled leadership matters now more than ever. Grateful for the opportunity to learn together, reflect deeply, and connect values to action.
👏 Thank you to everyone who made this program possible—and to the leaders who serve their communities every day with commitment and integrity.
